Taking Care of Oily Skin

Oily skin occurs because of the over production of sebum by sebaceous glands. Usually it’s a good option of your skin lubrication, but sometimes excessive production creates problems. Excessive manufacturing of sebum can be caused because of improper cosmetic use, diet, heredity, birth control pills etc.  Women experiencing menopause, teenagers, pregnant women can also develop the same problem because of the hormonal imbalance.

  • People having oily skin are prone to suffer from pimples, acnes, and blemishes, white & black heads etc. With proper care this problem can be solved.
  • People having the natural oily skin can with some serious effort easily ease the situation.
  • You need to focus on your diet. Your diet should be comprised of fresh fruits as well as leafy veggies. Protein rich food products are also beneficial for improving your skin. Vitamin B2 has also been found to be effective for treating oily skin so try to include nuts, wheat germs, beans etc in your regular diet.

  • When purchasing the skin care product, make sure that you are buying something appropriate for your skin type.
  • Don’t nurture the misconception that when you are having oily skin you don’t need to keep it hydrated. But you also need to keep it hydrated by consuming enough water.
  • Try to reduce the consumption of soft drink, sugar, chocolates, fried junk foods, beverages (alcoholic) beverages.
  • Make sure that you are cleaning your skin properly, because in oily skin dirt can get stuck easily.
