Some Do’s & Don’ts of Hair Perming
Hair Perming
Sometimes we consider perming as a more suitable option than our straight, thin hair. We think it makes us more presentable. Though it’s not a natural process but proper with caring (after & before perming) you can protect your hair from damages, but make sure that you are guided by a professional in this regard.

Things to remember before perming:
- You should be aware of your scalp condition, hair type etc.
- If you are suffering from dandruff problem or head injury or dry hair then perming is highly avoidable.
- Always get help from an experienced specialist.
- If you want your perming to stay longer then stop applying henna for almost two months before doing the perm.
Things to memorize after perming:
- Go for hair colouring after almost 10-12 days from the day you permed your hair. You need to give your hair some time off between the two chemical processes.
- You can comb you hair just after perming if carateen hardener has been used during perming.
- Try to avoid touching your hair almost till 47 hours after applying perm over your hair.
- Rather than using the normal comb try to go for a comb made with bone or wood or ivory after perming.
- Discuss with a professional hair dresser about the shampoo & conditioner that should be used in such condition.
